![]() If the motor includes a brake, it is torque tested to ensure proper functionality as well. When the Indramat servo motor is reassembled with new bearings, the feedback device is aligned per the manufacturer’s specifications and the motor is run tested and burned in. Any problems found during the feedback device tests are resolved before moving on to the next step of the process. The feedback device (encoder, resolver, etc.) is then tested for accuracy and repeatability of count / position. As far as the electrical components, the motor’s windings are surge and insulation tested for shorts or leakage and repaired or rewound as required. Any parts found to be worn, damaged or out of tolerance are replaced or repaired as necessary including the motor shaft, flanges, connectors and other components. During the repair process, all mechanical components of the Indramat servo motor are cleaned and thoroughly inspected. ![]()
